Valerio e Francesca sono una coppia da più dieci anni, ma si conoscono fin dall'infanzia. Hanno coronato il loro rapporto sposandosi nel maggio 2015. Lui bergamasco, lei bresciana, si sono conosciuti sulle sponde del lago d'Iseo, per entrabi seconda terra natale.

Nel 2014 acquistano la casa anche per amore dell'Arte di cui sono entrambi

appassionati. L'edificio è ricavato dalla parte frontale e dalla facciata dell'ex Oratorio di San Rocco a Saiano. Esternamete presenta una graziosa architettura rinascimentale di cui oggi sono ancora prefettamente visibili il rosone e le fasce in cotto che delineano i tratti della primitiva facciata.

L'idea di aprire un Bed & Breakfast nasce quasi subito, persuasi che questo luogo sia ideale per offrire a qualunque viaggiatore un suggestivo angolo di pace, tra vigneti e oliveti, ai piedi del colle Berta e del suo monastero e della valle del torrente Gandovere che scende dalle Prealpi.

Valerio, laureato in Storia, è da più di dieci anni docente di Italiano, Storia e Geografia e dal 2012 guida turistica professionista. Collabora inoltre con alcuni dei principali siti culturali tra Brescia, Bergamo e Milano. Parla inglese e francese.

Francesca, persona dolce, premurosa e dai modi squisiti, è impiegata nel commercio estero e da quattro anni è studentessa di Storia dell'arte. E' appassionata di lettura, di giardinaggio e di viaggi. Parla Inglese e Tedesco.

Terzo membro della famiglia, il nostro pappagallo, Kiko, che vive con noi da più di 3 anni.

 

 

 

Valerio and Francesca have been a couple for more than 10 years, but they have know each other since they were kids. They married in May 2015. Valerio comes from Bergamo, while Francesca is from Brescia and they met many years ago in a camp-site by Lake Iseo,a home from home for both of them. They bought this house in 2014, inspired by its rich history and their interest in art. The building originates from the frontal part of the former Oratorio of San Rocco in Saiano. The façade has a beautiful Renaissance architecture with a rose-window and decorated bricks that still echo the early façade. The idea of opening a Bed & Breakfast arose almost immediately after they first saw the house. They think that here, any tourist can find a peaceful place rich in historical, artistic and natural attributes, being nestled in Mount Berta, with vineyards and olive groves surrounding it and the valley of Gandovere Creek nearby, that flows from the Pre-Alps. Valerio graduated in History and Italian Literature and teaches Italian, History and Geography at school, and since 2012 he has been a licensed tourist guide. He has liaised with some of the most important tourist sites in Brescia, Bergamo, Milan and their respective provinces. He speaks English and French. Francesca is a lovely and kind person. She is a passionate reader, she loves gardening and travelling and works in the field of foreign trade. She has been studying art history for four years and she speaks English and German. The third member of our family is Kiko, our parrot, that has been living with us for more than 3 years.
